N.Tserenbat, CEO of “Erdenes Oyutolgoi”, was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of “Oyutolgoi” LLC. He is a former Parliament Member, Minister of Environment and Tourism, and was also the director for “Erdenes Oyutolgoi” in 2021.

OT Board of Directors has three members representing the Government of Mongolia, including the former Mongolian President N.Bagabandi, CEO of Erdenes Oyutolgoi N.Tserenbat and E.Bayasgalan.

34 percent of OT is owned by the Government of Mongolia and “Erdenes Oyutolgoi” represents the government. Therefore, the appointment was aimed at including a government representative on the OT board, informed the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government.

Oyu Tolgoi is one of the world’s largest copper and gold deposits and is the backbone of Mongolia’s economy.
