“Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2022” was held in the capital of Mongolia over the weekend. More than 20,000 people registered for the marathon this year with 150 runners from 26 countries taking part in the event. The number of participants in the race has been growing over the years, and in addition to the citizens of the capital city, there are also participants from rural areas of Mongolia, and runners from abroad and neighboring countries. This year, athletes from Kenya and Kazakhstan took part. Marathon was held in 5 lengths of 1.5 km, 5 km, 10 km, 21 km, and 42 km. The annual marathon was held for the seventh time after being canceled for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
